Hall of shame maybe. This is a moment where the NFL could gain back all those conservatives that tuned out over the flag brouhaha by throwing this guy out of the league.
Seems like the only ones triggered in this thread are the self identified conservatives.
For the record, this leftist is proud of the first NFL player to come out as gay - even if he isn't Hall of Famer.
I'll take an honest person who is lives authentically any day of the week. I especially like those who give and promote good causes.
BTW - which candidates has he/does he officially or even unofficially support as a "great republican"? Does he actively campaign?
That said- where has he actually identified as Republican? A quick google search shows nothing in the vein.
And you have to be retired from the NFL for a half decade to be considered for the Hall of Fame. Best of luck to the guy but he is not at that level currently.
