Talk is cheap, but actions mean something. People vote with their feet... as in getting the heck out of the oppressive Democrat run states and moving to Republican run states. Northerners are flooding into Florida, Texas, Tennessee and other states which have common sense Republican leadership.
The liberals on here can bellyache all they want, but they will find when election time rolls around in about 16 months, the Republicans will once again gain control of congress and probably the Senate too. It is not possible for you to know which state would falsify it's reports but here you are claiming that Florida has accurate reports and New York does not!

Remember DeSantis stopping cars from NY last spring requiring that they quarantine, but now he can't bring himself to allow districts to enforce mask mandates. So is he going to take Disney World, Universal Studios and the other mayors to court as he did with the cruise lines.
Florida broke it's prior record for hospitalizations and his announcement is no new restrictions or mandates, yes this is pure politics, his 2024 campaign is well underway.

A few months ago even the media could not ignore it and admitted that while Fl was not "lockdown" compared to other states the rates of COVID was still the same or less in Fl.
"Here is the deal" as Biden likes to use the term, currently Florida has a rise in COVID and that is giving those against him a reason to criticize him, when in a few months it calms down in Florida (and it will) and the epicenter shifts (and it will) to NY or California we will see how those states do compared to FL.
And there is the million dollar question that is already been asked, if COVID is such a dire pandemic, and the democrats really say it is, WHY OH WHY are they ignoring the border? when there are several variant strains from south America making its way here on top of Delta variant?
Why because politics is more important to them that's why. They would rather infect the country than look mean or "racist" to immigrants rushing across and anger the leftist portion of the democratic party. I mean these new strains are supposedly 50% more contagious and hospitals are on the verge of being overwhelmed so what gives?

Florida had 32 pediatric COVID-19 hospitalizations per day between July 24 and 30, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Adjusted for population, that’s 0.76 kids hospitalized per 100,000 residents, the highest rate in the country.
The Florida Department of Health reported 10,785 new COVID-19 infections among children under 12 between July 23 and 29. That’s an average of 1,540 new cases per day.
The surge is worse for children who are eligible for the vaccine — 11,048 new cases among those ages 12 to 19 in the same week.

Do you have a link for that because the population number in the first line is way off- Florida's got like 21.5 million people and not a mere 19 million.
The population number is who can take the vaccine under emergency rules. Children younger than 12 are not counted. That is the difference.
