Why people who lost their jobs due to Covid didn't move home to mom's house is a mystery.

Why should landlord's subsidize the Covid shutdown?

Mister, you just put the ball up in the cheap seats!

As a not-yet-old-enough-to-vote conservative back in 1968, I can recall the disappointment among rural conservatives -- the ultimate seekers of "cheaper labor" -- when they realized Richard Nixon wasn't going to call to move back toward a laissez-faire economy. and the continued development of a mature post-industral society over the next twenty years caused most of us to recognize the need for a "safety net"; but many of us still view it as overbuilt, and prone to abuse by the usual Left-leaning hard-core "dead weight".

The Looney, Lazy Lefties only "accepted" Biden becausw they knew they couldn't win with Sanders, Harris, or anyone else that far out-of-synch.

It's funny to me how people can complain about a centrist like Biden when "the left" is so characterized by "the right" as being totally socialist!!
Biden is no centrist -- only a Democrat along the lines of Joe Manchin coud be considered "centrist", once outide the Big "True Socialist"/Populist Tent of the Braying Jackass.

Will those same bleeding hearts open up their homes and wallets and take care of these potential homeless people? Of course not, but they want “them” to pay for those people. Not sure who “them” is? If you are talking about me, forget about it.
How do you define 'benefit to the society'? what about senior people over 85? Should they including your own family members exist?

As a housewife or stay-at-home mum I did feel being offended. I did not make any benefit to the society because I am not working. However, I do have the right to exist and I will exist.

I do support that landlords should not take the responsibility which the country should take care of. They need to maintain a life too. I don't get it how people can be homeless because I know government has a benefit paying half of the rent or something.

Well, maybe some people should have been paying a lite more attention. Biden was always more centrist. Of the 2020 crop he was almost conservative in comparison. Harris was harder to place. As a DA/AG she was moderate. As a Senator she was far left with Bernie. At any rate, anyone paying attention should have realized what it meant that Biden was the nominee. He's not w populist candidate the way Trump or Obama were. He's the rejection of the more progressive options candidate.

Second, Biden doesn't have a choice. It says right in the text you quoted that SCOTUS has already weighed in on this. If he didn't let it expire, that would be challenged and SCOTUS would shoot him down.

Look, I think that Biden is a corrupt, worthless person who doesn't belong in that position for many reasons, but there's no need to lie or misrepresent a situation in order to make him look bad. There's PLENTY of material for that which he provides all by himself.

I could be wrong, but I think Rocko is already aware of what you are saying and just started the thread to troll libs.

First off, Biden isn’t a progressive.

Knowing Rocko and his previous posts, this is pure troll.

For those who genuinely believe it should be extended, try owning rental properties or ask the congress to let landlords not owe any mortgage to the banks in case of non paying tenants. After all, the banks got free money.

I always thought he was a Republican. Well until the Tea Party took over.

Biden has always been a Rockefeller Republican.

Not trolling liberals, just showing them their hypocrisy. Liberals either have to defend Biden’s decision, which acknowledges conservatives were right, or they have to hate Biden’s decision, which acknowledges he’s wrong for pushing lockdowns that forced the memorandum.
