The Great Reset to bring in socialism. Predictable, if you've been paying attention.

Only thing I disagree with is stopping it in July vs end of August.

Why not wait until some people can get their kids back on school? A lot of parents don’t have childcare in the summer since daycare have been thin due to closings.
Perhaps you failed to read clearly.

The interviews were so stupid, they took less than 3 minutes.

This needs to end now. These leeches got around $3000 + per month, depending on their state's unenjoyment amount, so they most certainly had the money to pay their damn rent.

No more waiting. They could have paid all along. Stop with the excuses and stalling. Screw those people.

Where's my free rent?

Where's my year long handouts?

Where's my 'free' education?

People need to pay their own damn way, and stop expecting everyone else to pay their way for them.

Excellent rules in Florida.

Yikes, talk about a man with no sympathy. No wonder 50% of Americans ignore him and refuse to get a vaccine, he has yet to make any good decision and has broken every promise. I can see the buyers remorse from Democrats now.
You ain't seen nuthin YET!! With MILLIONS of ILLEGALS coming to America, I expect our homeless population to increase accordingly!!! Ain't American taxpayers INCLUDING DEMOCRATS, nice people!!

Promoting homelessness, disease, and drug smuggling is great for our economy, indeed!

I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of people who will refuse to abide by eviction orders. They'll have protest marches about how 'unjust' it all is, and stir up the ignorant public about their supposed hardships. Then the dramatic footage of police forcefully removing deadbeats from their housing, all the while screaming and raving for full dramatic effect, so the media can hype about how 'inhumane' this all is.

Sure, there may be some individuals that through no fault of their own including bad injuries and whatnot, can no longer work or seek work, but at the same time, why is that the landlord's accountability or fault?
Hardships? lol

I do gig work. I deliver restaurant food and groceries. That's how I kept making a living when I lost my main gig due to this stupid Covid BS.

In the year and several months since the lock downs, I have seen the same names over and over again with orders. I haven't been delivering simple meals, I'm talking crab, lobster, stupidly overpriced hamburgers, (we're talking $20 per burger NOT including the side of fries, that's another $7, no I'm not kidding), yuppie food that includes acai, or weird vegetables that cost $12 - $15 per salad, (I know the prices because I go into the restaurant to pick up the food, and sometimes, I have to wait, and I look at their menus and the prices....especially when someone has the audacity to ask one of us to drive 20 miles round trip for $3...gfy, get it yourself).

Hardships? They ate like kings.

I do these jobs, and I can't even afford to order through them except maybe once in a blue moon. It's not just the price of the meal, they also have the 'delivery fee', 'service fee', inflated prices from the menu of the gig's website, (rest assured, WE drivers don't get that money), and then, if they aren't cheap bastids, a tip on top of all of that.

Example: If you, for some reason that I can't understand, went through McDonald's drive thru, you could get a meal, upsize it, and get a shake, and spend about $12 total. But, do it through the delivery services, you will pay around $23 without the tip.

I don't want to hear any whining about their 'hardships'. I've seen many of the same names. I work just about every single day, up to 12 hours a day. I work in the same area, most of the time.

I have seen a lot of new cars in less than desirable areas. I've also delivered stuff from stores, as DD does hook up with places like PetCo, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, GameStop, etc. I do another gig job that does groceries, but also includes items from Target, CVS (not just prescriptions).

These people have been buying a whole lot of crap.

They didn't suffer. They sat at home, getting free money, didn't have to pay their rent for a year +, and spent their time shopping online for all kinds of absolute crap that they didn't actually need.

Even doing the groceries I've seen crap they don't need.

I don't feel sorry for any of these people. I did in the beginning. I was very understanding, but that is over.

I'd like to live on my backside for a year, getting free handouts from the government that equals more than I get for working, not have to pay my rent for over a year.

This is going to hit some people really hard, and I. Don't. CARE, anymore.

Landlords are clamping down...work history, background check, pay stubs, letter from previous landlord, etc etc

....I've yet to see one of these "immigrants" with any of that

also, some landlords, the ones that can, have been letting their rentals sit empty...it's better empty....than totally trashed by someone that's not going to pay their rent

...and if you rent to them...you can't kick them out

I hope people realize that there were foreclosures and evictions way before Covid started. If there is an uptick - it's because people didn't work with their landlords - paying what they could or completely stopped paying, even if they could, because of the moratorium.

There is someone running for mayor in Seattle - he owes over $20,000 in back rent even though he's been working the whole time. A poster in the NYC forum wasn't paying rent for the last year+ because the rental company thought he had moved - boy did other NYers go off on him.

With the additional unemployment and other programs people qualified for - there is no reason to be evicted or foreclosed inless you squandered the money - which I saw many people do. A responsible person will work with their landlords, credit card companies ect to come up with a plan.
