Clarissa Ward of CNN was telling the Pentagon's spokesman John Kirby that: “I’m the one who’s here on the ground talking to Afghans every day and has to look them in the eye. Can I offer them your assurance that everyone who has worked with American organizations will be got out of this country safely?”

John Kirby: "I would ask you to tell them that there is a process, that they can apply for, thru the State Department to get on the list...."

You get that, people are in fear for their lives, and Kirby says to contact the US State Department to "get on a list" So just find some person and get on some list, and gee, there's a process don't cha know, and then we will try to get back to you, maybe, if we have time.

Oh, so you’re in favour of helping Afghans out of there now? When did that happen?

It is his responsibility as president and yes he’s to blame, especially for not listening to his generals and National security. The guy is a dumb you know what.

My point is that there is a difference when we help people, and then helping those who keep committing terrorist acts against US allies. If the south Vietnamese who assisted the US were also making terrorist raids into Thailand and killing our friends over there, we may not have been so keen on bringing these people back to the US either.

Speaking of Vietnam, it was also Biden who didn't want to authorize funding to bring over our Vietnamese friends either, Hence the First Saigon airlift disaster in 1975.

Damn Biden for his incompetence, and bringing so much pain to so many innocent people.

Hmmm, that’s illuminating.

I would imagine if I go back through the threads, that we’d hear a lot of outrage about that from the people who are just SO concerned about the fate of the Afghans now.

And I’m not saying people aren’t genuinely distressed by the god awful situation there, they probably are, but they were willing to trade it off for troop withdrawal until Biden did it. Suddenly it’s unconscionable.

Bingo. Perhaps he enjoys seeing the fate awaiting the Afghanistan people?

This may not be strictly incompetence, but far more gruesome.

And the irony of this....

The Taliban has been seizing military weapons/vehicles/other equipment from Afghan forces for a few months now and was able to take over using US equipment.

Welp, that didn’t take long. This is Saigon on steroids that has turned into black hawk down.

If your withdrawal calls for special forces and 6,000 troops, it’s not a withdrawal anymore.

And, as you see, the Dems are coming in here with "But Trump started it....."

The Taliban has been seizing US equipment for months...under Biden's watch.
Biden did nothing.
