Require ID or voters registration cards in order to vote. It is up to the individual to get proper ID. Yes, some might have difficulties in getting them, and some might not. You need a library card to check out a book, but some try to vote with no ID? Come on now....But that is one of the main ways to help prevent election fraud..

Is it? Please explain how someone can commit fraud by voting with no ID. Be specific, and walk us through the steps.

If you are not a US citizen and you voted, that is fraud. Your ID from whatever your birth country is valid, but this is a US election, so that make your ballot illegal. So first you voted, that is fraud number one, then once your illegal ballot is counted, that is fraud number two. You may believe in whoever you voted for, but you are not eligible to vote in a US election.
Now, if you are a US citizen and you voted in an election where no ID is required, then no fraud occurred. But the point of an ID is to discourage non-citizens from voting. Unfortunately, we cannot count on the honor system and hope that non-citizens will respect the idea that only citizens should vote, hence, the ID requirement.
The founding fathers had it right, the land owners could vote..., In our infinite wisdom, we let pretty much anyone vote, what a stupid idea that was. Sorry but I don’t want homeless people, hopelessly unemployed people, criminals past or present having a say so in how my life should be lived. That’s stupid.
The threshold was eased over time from land ownership to simply proving one's citizenship. That is reasonable.
Why didn't republicans claim election fraud when Obama won over McCain or any other election they lost.
Because they didn't worship someone who claimed election fraud back then. Many believed in an alternate universe (birtherism anyone?), but Trump raised the nuttiness to another level.

1) The founding fathers used property owners as a proxy for "the rich".
2) We didn't expand voting rights out of benevolence. We expanded them for the same reason the democrats want felons and 16-year olds to vote.
First, make election day a federal holiday.
Get rid of mail in ballots for those who do not have a valid reason to have one.
The ONLY people who should receive a mail in ballot are people who are disabled, and military personnel who are out of the country, and that's it.
As in years past, candidates running for office, made sure people voting their party, got transportation to the polls.
That was not an issue.
For those voting by mail, their ballots must be postmarked no later than the last day of October.
All mail in ballots would be counted, and accounted for before the general election in November.
The only voting on election day would be done in person, at the polls.
ID would be required for anyone voting.
If you can't furnish ID, then you can't vote.
The reason this is not being done presently is because it is much to simple, and those in charge want confusion so the voting public doesn't have a clue what is going on.
No ballot harvesting by party operatives. POA relatives may bring in grandma's ballot however.
Sat thru Tuesday is "election day." No early counting but a party operative may be present at the collection point to watch and guard collection points.
Correlation and collection of moving notices by the post office and death certificates to be used to actively purge rolls of ineligible.
