Isnt much information given. There are fatalities but no number given as they’re trying to identify and notify the families. One officer did fire his weapon at the vehicle which accounts for the report of gunfire.

It is possible this was a reaction to the verdict. Many people have been anticipating some violence as a result of it.
That's certainly the first thought that pops to mind, given that it was in Wisconsin and not very far from Kenosha, in what was described as a conservative town, and according to the census numbers it's a place with about 90% white, 4.5% black. So it seems like a place that might be targeted. It could be something else. Just have to wait and see.
The police chief mentioned terrorists - but didn't say if domestic or foreign. Not sure why he would say that, other than, I suppose, that someone who plows through a crowd is by definition a terrorist.
CNN is floating the idea that this was a "police chase gone wrong".

I did wonder about a possible police chase because people were reporting seeing the car go through the crowd and sirens at the same time. We'll know in due course.
