Very true. Unfortunate but true.
It takes decades of effort to replace one reality with another. And here we are.
What amuses/confuses me is that if people think biological gender doesn’t matter, then why not protest having two segregated teams according to gender? And by limiting it to two genders, aren’t these woke people forgetting/forsaking the non-binary folks? If gender doesn’t matter, have one team, one size fits all. If the winners are consistently those wh9 were born male, oh well. Doesn’t matter since some may not identify as male.

No they can't.
Any attempt to speak up and especially organize will be smashed by angry mobs on campuses demanding they be kicked out of the school for their hate and bigotry.
Most just want to quietly collect their scholarship, study and move on with life.
They know the Poop storm that will hit them and that's even just a *normal* schools. For the really far left schools they get violent at the drop of the hat and justify it as fighting Nazi's or whatnot.
