Not sure what the media has to do with anything. Here on CD forum there have been multiple threads, started by conservatives, bashing Biden for supposedly taking us to war against Russia. Who is creating the hysteria?

Well, you've got a President who isn't all there, obviously. Who calls his Vice President--The President. You have him stating that he is taking direction from others. You have him opening our southern border to millions and now you have him threatening Russia if it violates some other border that borders Russia. Yes, Something to be very concerned with. Its not so much the banter going back a forth between rivals, its the nitwit at the helm.

Draft all the trouble makers first....the ones who should be in jail, but instead are doing the smash and grabs, and car jackings. We all know that would never happen though.

Sounds like forcing out the best military people for not getting vaccinated was a pretty dumb idea. But that's Joe.

Why would the military want to draft criminals? They should be in jail, not under arms.

Naw, that never worked. There's a reason why those guys are in the criminal justice system and it's not because they're good at following directions and respecting authority.

That used to be a way of 'straightening people out'...if someone had a brush with the law, they were given the choice to go into the military instead of jail, it worked for some, but not everyone though. Same would happen today I assume...it would help some turn their life around, and others, it wouldnt make a difference.

Its a good idea overall though, there is nothing to loose anyway.

They stopped doing that because it didn't work well for the military. Today, unless there are some extremely extenuating circumstances, someone with a criminal record can't get into the military. There is a reason for that.

There is a hell of a lot to lose bringing people who do smash-and-grabs and, for pete's sake, carjackings into the military. There isn't anything making the guy in the next bunk any less likely to be a victim than in civilian life. If anything, the military situation makes crime even easier, because "trust your comrade" is built into the system.
