Then why isn’t Putin visiting his “winning” troops while Western leaders are freely visiting and returning their embassies into Ukraine? Why is NATO expanding? Russia has been on the losing end ever since the first few days.

Why would Putin go to Ukraine now?! His soldiers are busy, no time for photo ops.
Russians are friendly, they allow foreigners to come to Kiev and go as they please.

Uh... Because NATO was helping Ukrainians to target Russian generals on the front lines, while providing their coordinates?
While Russians don't do that when it comes to the "Western leaders visiting."
I hope you know by now that Ukraine is a terrorist state and it wouldn't hesitate to target Putin while he'd be visiting troops, particularly with a "little help" from the Western friends.

Our media and govt serves up stories to make it appear that Ukraine has a fighting chance, because they need to justify sending arms and dollars to Ukraine.
You think if they were honest up front in that Ukraine has zero chance of winning, that they could get away with sending billions to a lost cause?
The battle for Ukraine will probably go to Russia, with Ukraine giving up some territory.
Russia has already lost the war. The 300-400 companies who are boycotting Russia will never be back and sanctions will not be lifted for many years.
And Russia doesn't have the demographics to reform itself. It is finished. One of the smallest group of Russians is the 15 to 29 year old group. So there is simply no one to have new Russians.

Wishful thinking.
It's foolish to think a country can't be happy without hundreds of foreign companies.
To Russia national security is worth much more than popularity, life is not a popularity contest.
Russia might even benefit from the sanctions as they will resort to their own brands and products. In fact, I am almost a bit envious of Russia, they finally get rid of many of those junk brands from the West. Probably no more crappy Hollywood movies etc.
And they are not alone. The West only accounts for 10% of the world, the rest of the world will continue to do business with Russia.

That age group probably represents the majority of Russian soldier deaths, too. So they really are shooting themselves in the foot when they attack Ukraine.

At this point, looks like Russia has just settled for a bite from the pie after almost choking on trying to swallow the pie whole.

Their losses have been attrocious and obviously Ukraine has suffered heavily.

So, the question is that Russia grabbing "a bite" and then digging in to hold it changes the dynamic and so at what point does Ukraine accept that or at what point does the bleeding of Russian troops and units become sufficient to relinquish that bite they took in part or whole?

I don't think I'm with you 100% on this.

I think the battle for Ukraine stands a good chance of being won by Ukraine.

I'm no military expert, nor do I play one on the internet, but can't help but notice that tomorrow marks 3 months since Russia invaded Ukraine, and Ukraine appears to be holding its own, whereas Russia appears to be bombing everything in range to rubble while invading and retreating from one small town after another.

Meanwhile, weapons and soldiers are pouring in, gearing up for an epic battle.

Over 1200 companies have now voluntarily left Russsia.
The list grows every day, it seems. Businesses ranging from coffee shops to oil field service companies and airliner service companies are leaving.
Businesses leaving Russia are a sign of the disgust the free world feels for the actions Russia has taken. While sanctions are less visible than closed businesses and take longer to have meaningful effect, it is widely felt that it will be the sanctions that finally bring Russian leadership down. There are hundreds of billions of dollars that have been frozen by various countries.

It remains unclear whether the many minorities that make up Russia will rebel, but that is certainly something the Kremlin worries about.

I suspect it depends on how much damage Ukraine is able to inflict with their new long-range weapons.
