It's not about the size of the armies but size of the fight in the soldiers. Ordinary Russians including military do not want to fight this stupid war.

Are you a bot?
No.

A bot doesn't have the ability to show such horrified desperation, the desperation the democrats get from their echo-chambers to try and find any way possible to fling their projection back onto us.

Notice how many of them keep trying to run the same lie over and over again, just like their media counterparts via msnbc, abc, cbs, cnn, etc.

That’s fake news.

A soldier who refuses to fight will be a POW or court martialed by their own government. It’s considered desertion or AWOL.

Perhaps you just missed the many thoughtful posts, from numerous folks, that have provided the historical, social and global context that disprove your redundant and inaccurate accusations which claim everyone else has made simplistic conclusions.

It is indeed a long thread and it is sometimes easy to miss the words of others when one is emotionally upset and angry in the face of such disturbing unrest and menace--- that we are all witnessing with Russia's atrocious invasion of Ukraine...which is the title of this thread. In case you just overlooked these posted facts and context I offer some for your digestion.

Vladimir Putin's government has mounted a major aggressive war against Ukraine. This is about the sovereignty and self-determination of Ukraine and all nations. It’s about Russia’s refusal to recognize Ukraine as an independent nation, which it is, and its about Putin's rejection of a post-Cold War Europe that is whole and free and was at peace. Putin's "War of Choice" is a crisis with global consequences, and it requires global attention and action.

Russia continues to turn away from agreements that have kept the peace across the European continent for decades. Putin continues to fixate on and threaten NATO--- a defensive, voluntary alliance that protects nearly a billion people across Europe and North America--- and his government threatens the governing principles of international peace and security that all countries have a stake in defending.

The United States and our allies and partners in Europe are focused on what’s happening in Ukraine because it's bigger than a conflict between countries. It’s bigger than Russia's phony complaints about NATO. It cannot be stressed enough, this is a crisis with global consequences, and it requires global attention and action.

The doctrines & principles, that were established after 2 world wars and a long cold war, state one country does not have the right to change the borders of another by force. One country is not permitted to dictate to another the policies it wants or the choices it makes, including with whom to associate or join. And one country cannot make efforts and take actions to dominate and crush its neighbor nations.

World leaders agree: to allow Russia to violate those principles with impunity would drag us all back to a much more dangerous and unstable time. For example when the European continent and even cities were divided in two, separated by no man’s lands, patrolled by soldiers, with the threat of all-out war hanging over everyone’s heads. It would also send a message to others around the world that these principles are expendable, and that, too, would have catastrophic results.

In good faith, the nations of Europe, the USA and our NATO allies diplomatically tried to address the escalating demands and claims Putin made. Russia did not engage in good faith. The claims were disingenuous and phony, and his lies and false flag operations were agitprop and cover for his intent to invade, occupy and dominate Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin's government is the entity that is ravaging the agreements that kept the peace across the European continent for decades. It is the despotic Putin who has violated the governing principles of international peace and security that all countries have a stake in defending.

Vladimir Putin has mounted a major aggressive War of Choice that has the potential to creep across Europe and menace the world. European nations, the USA and NATO allies are diligently trying to de-escalate and curtail this. Full Stop.
I missed nothing.

You on the other hand apparently missed the latest flight to Ukraine. When are you going there to pick up a rifle and do something to stop evil?

I wrote a point by point refutation of your earlier post, which like this post was loaded with lofty words but bereft of knowledge. You claim other posts have refuted what you incorrectly label "inaccurate accusations," but that has not happened. I've learned from Stephen Cohen, George Kennan, and John Mearsheimer. You write nothing but empty words showing you've been conned by the MSM's dangerous demonization of Vladimir Putin.

You care so much about evil, but you did NOTHING when the U.S. perpetrated evils and generated immeasurable human suffering in Iraq, in Yugoslavia, and so forth.

Stop typing. Get off your butt, book a ticket to Ukraine, and volunteer - I mean, you have repeatedly harped about evil, yet all you do is write on C-D.

Putin and Russia are on the brink of winning this war. Ukraine will be made neutral, the neo-Nazis will be held accountable, and Ukraine will never join NATO. This is how it should be, and this is how it will be. That's Russia's sphere of influence, not the U.S.'s, not Europe's.

It could bring nuclear weapons back on Belarusian soil for the first time since the country gave them up after the fall of the Soviet Union, and raises the stakes at a time when Lukashenko has fallen behind Russian President Vladimir Putin’s military assault on Ukraine.

Putin on Sunday ordered Russian nuclear deterrent forces put on high alert, in a dramatic escalation of tensions with the West.

Speaking at a polling station on Sunday, Lukashenko said that he could ask Russia to return nuclear weapons to Belarus.

“If you (the West) transfer nuclear weapons to Poland or Lithuania, to our borders, then I will turn to Putin to return the nuclear weapons that I gave away without any conditions,” Lukashenko said.

Emotions run high when wars start. And wars' first casualty is always truth. One of the next and most immediate casualties is the range of permissible debate. In this thread and in the current political atmosphere in the U.S., to deviate from the claim Putin is a thug and an imperialist is to be a traitor and a Russian agent/spy/etc. who is on the side of evil.

Not everything is what you think it is. I do not say there is no war. I do not say no Ukrainian troops have won local engagements against Russian troops. I do not say no Ukrainian civilians have died.

I do say however that it is already out in the open that simulation footage was used to propagate the claim that a singular Ukrainian air force jet took out several Russian fighters. I do also say that Russia's initial attacks targeted Ukrainian military assets. Ukraine is essentially now without an air force and a navy.

Please take a look at these. If in peacetime discernment, thought, critical analysis, and an investigative approach are needed, all the more so when a war is taking place.

One can't help but notice that the desire of the Ukrainians to align one way or the other really hasn't entered your thinking, here.
