Only thing I don't get is why are hospitals even operating while there is bombings? They had all week to get those people to cities west far away from the fighting. I understand needs to be hospitals operating for wounded but people giving birth should be planning get out.

That is kind of hard to do when there is bombing happening from all sides. Thousands of people are hiding in subway or underground parking structure. Hospital operating because people are still in need of emergency help be it give birth or any other treatment such as wounds from getting shot etc.

People who have tried to flee the cities under siege have been attacked by the russians.

Clearly not everyone especially being Putin was saying he was not going to invade.

Many of us were hoping he wasn't lying, but our hopes were dashed unsurprisingly.
