This is an admission that Biden isn't up to the task.

The President of the United States calls the shots. He's not told what to do. If Biden did something because someone (in the opposing party?!) wanted him to, as opposed to because he thought it would be the correct decision to make for the country, then he's not the president in any way other than by title.

Now, I know that that sentence I quoted isn't true. It's nonsense made up for political reasons - this is an OPINION piece. They can say pretty much anything they want without repercussion or concern about "fact checking." But what they made up is a ridiculous attempt to blame the opposing party for Biden's own actions and they didn't even do it in a way that makes him look strong. It's guaranteed that he wouldn't be crediting Republicans for the decision if were popular, btw.
" this is an OPINION piece." Consider the source!

The solution is $15/gallon gas and an electoral bloodbath in 2022 putting Republicans in charge of everything meaningful. "I agree, Let's Go Brandon"..."Come on man, you know the thing."

"No matter what he does?" As his good buddy said:

The Ukraine situation won't help the Democrats because for weeks the Russians surrounded the borders of Ukraine and Joe Biden said, time and time again, they aren't going to attack Ukraine. Time when aid and military equipment could have been sent for the Ukrainians.

I am an independent and can honestly tell you after this year with the progressives and liberals pulling the wool over our heads, I WILL NEVER VOTE DEMOCRATIC AGAIN.

"and he is driving the ship"

And I remember when ANYTHING bad happened here or anywhere in the world the left blamed Trump with, "The buck stops here"!

"I don't blame Biden for all our woes"

OK, what "woes" DO you blame him for and NOT put the blame on him?

True. Not that republicans are that much better. At least they'll cut my taxes.

Had Biden made better decisions a year ago we would be in a much better position than we are now....... and it's likely Putin may not have even invaded Ukraine.

For every action there is a reaction........and Biden is now seeing the reaction to his actions! Presidents do have much more control with their actions than you are giving credit.

"Bidens energy policies have no impact upon the price of gas today" is at the heart of this lie.

Prices today are not only impacted by costs today, but cost incurred in the past, and expected costs of the future.

-If a company/industry lost $ due to a pandemic, they might increase prices afterwards to recoup some of those losses.

-If a company sees their future output/supply being constrained, they may increase pricing today to build cash reserves to get them through the pending shortage.

This is why gas prices have risen since Joe Biden took office. This is what the propaganda machine doesn't want voters to know, so they manipulate minds instead, with propaganda like you see linked above.

The media constantly exploits American's knowlege gaps in this manner. Its like robbing an old lady in a wheelchair...its taking advantage of another person's vulnerabilities, & it is evil.

My education (MBA) & business experience (at 3 Fortune 500's, & current biz owner) unveils to me, these sinister lies being told.
Well if you have an MBA then you should understand that oil prices are determined on the world market not just in the US. So explain how Bidens policies drove up prices in Europe and other countries at the same time. Besides production is only slightly off since our record high in 2019, so obviously this isn't supply driven by the US alone or we would have had record gas prices in 2018.

Crude oil Production million barrels per day, 2022, 2023 predicted:
2018 10.99
2019 12.23
2020 11.28
2021 11.99
2022 12.03
2023 12.99

Look at this chart for the last decade and tell me what you see, the Obama administration promoted green energy throughout, did oil companies worry about constraints and increase pricing?

I have NEVER seen dems propose a single thing that improves my quality of life, puts more money in my pocket, or make goods and services more plentiful.

"this thread makes my head hurt."

YOUR post makes my head hurt!

"with no other plan to reduce the cost at home"

And what is YOUR "plan"?

1. It is NOT the governments JOB to control costs.

2. Yes, if we INCREASE oil production, prices WILL go down.

You probably played hooky in school when they explained "supply and demand".
