Same difference.
^Basically.

ANY form of Government where the Government redistributes other people's money: wolves decide which lamb to eat.

What's the definition of insanity? I know this is cliche and overused since it was popularized in the video game "Far Cry 3" but the answer is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. This is always how socialism will work out, and no, most European countries are not actually socialist, and the ones that are closest and function the best have strict immigration policy to keep out the useless eaters.... or at least they used too. (I've posted this article before)

Europe is going to collapse letting in all these immigrants and paying for their health care. It's only a matter of time. People need to be taught to be independent. You can't have 1/3 the population living off the other 2/3 while not contributing at all, only sucking.... like a parasite. In the end the laws of nature win out. The best way to get ahead is to become able to sustain yourself independent of some entity supporting you, and to move to a country where there is less of your income taken away to support the above mentioned parasites.

Don't be silly.

They are doing the same thing and expect the same result - slavery. The socialist and communist elites or democrats elites can crap on the rest of us.

The United States has ALWAYS been a hybrid Socialism + Capitalism Country. We embrace BOTH ends of the spectrum.

Here is an example:Everyone in the United States gets a free education up until age 18.

I know ..it's not "free" but it is socially funded by tax money. The kid in the most expensive house in the zone goes to the same school as the family in a 1 bedroom apartment.

That is a socialism right as old as the United States itself.

That's correct. The US has never really abolished slavery - let's not sugarcoat it: socialism is slavery. So we are a Slavery + Capitalism/freedom type country.

Forcing other people to pay for your children's education is slavery.

The US government actually spends much more as a % of GDP than China does. One big issue with US government spending is that so much is spent on pure corruption and mass murdering innocent people in other countries that we dont even see a lot of the spending.

Could you please point out that line in the federal budget? I surely can't find it.

The rich parents surely don't like the fact that their eager-to-learn kid has to go to the same school with a kid from a poor family who has no interest in learning.

It's actually completely different in North Korea. A kid from a poor family can easily get into the best university if she is smart.

There it is. There is no magical secret here. The Scandinavian countries are not Socialist. They have more generous social welfare states because their citizens all agree with it and are all willing to pay for it.

The American Middle Class, both left and right, is vehemently opposed to sending more of their money to government bureaucracies.

You want to change that? Fine. You need to convince the middle class to pay those kind of tax rates plus VAT. You need to cease thinking taxing the rich is going to get you there.

And most of all, you need to stop throwing the word Socialism around. The entire West from Finland to North America to Japan all have social welfare states of some substance and structure.

You want to enhance ours? Fine. Be willing to PAY UP.
They have also much smaller, more HOMOGENOUS populations (or they used to in the past). Which is a huge difference.

The reason many in middle class are against taxes or wealth distribution because they don't want their money going to racial minorities lol.
