That's on the Government to solve WITHOUT raising taxes or reducing benefits to anyone else. The Government guaranteed benefits it cannot deliver. It's on THEM and THEM ONLY to figure out how to make good on those guarantees. End of Story.

Why should I have to jeopardize MY OWN RETIREMENT to pay for untenable promises that FDR made 100 years ago?

And terminating the scheme costs less over time than perpetuating it. The only thing Socialist Insecurity secures is the employment of the bureaucrats that run the SSA into the ground.

Cut the red tape and bureaucracy. Problem solved.

Like I said, cut 20% out of that budget. Problem solved.

What do you mean Socialism doesn't work? It works very well for those in government who hand out the free government cheese, and live large on the taxpayer's dime. A typical example showing how wonderful Socialism works is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Let us not forget one of the very first things AOC was in favor of when getting into Congress was supporting a $4,500 pay increase for members of Congress even though she was already living large at taxpayer expense with an annual salary of $174,000 and about another $110,000 in fringe benefits [retirement plans, top of the shelf medical, paid vacations, etc.] bringing her annual earnings up to about $285,000, while the average earnings of those in her congressional district was under $60,000.

And then, to top it off, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the queen of socialism, now wants hard working American Citizens who worked to pay off their college student loan, to also pay off her college student loan. See: AOC demands Biden cancel student loan debt after he extends payment freeze

"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called on President Biden to bypass Congress and cancel billions of dollars in student loan debt, just days after he assumed the White House and extended pandemic relief for millions of borrowers through September."

The bottom line is, my friend, Socialism does work, but only for those in charge of handing out "free government cheese" which has been stolen from the paychecks of hard working people.

Communism: a few wolves decide which lamb to eat for dinner.

European Democratic Socialism: a bunch of wolves vote to determine which lamb to eat.

Same difference.

Socialism/communism works exactly as designed - producing tens of million dead bodies and poverty. Not sure what you mean by "doesn't work."
