The House sergeant at arms reports to Pelosi. Among asking others, Sund had asked Irving, who had answered to Pelosi, a number of times for the NG and Irving denied his requests. The Capitol building is under the Speaker of the House, and Pelosi does have a say in the security of the building.

Do you think a riot or a suspected threat of a riot at the Capitol building is so commonplace that it happens on a daily (day-to-day) basis?

The decision on whether to call National Guard troops to the Capitol is made by what is known as the Capitol Police Board, which is made up of the House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol. The board decided not to call the guard ahead of the insurrection but did eventually request assistance after the rioting had already begun, and the troops arrived several hours later.

The House Sergeant at Arms reports to Pelosi and the Senate Sergeant at Arms reported to McConnell, a Republican who was then Senate Majority Leader. There is no evidence that either directed the security officials not to call the guard.

That poster was listing various weapons that were carried on the grounds of the Capitol. The weapons in the vehicle were not on or near to the Capitol grounds. If you were planning to use weapons while you're rioting then you would not leave them elsewhere, far away from you, would you?

Whatever Pelosi did or did not do really is not the issue. Don't try to blame her for the doors and windows being breached.
Ah look, you no longer believe Politifact. Haha!

No firearms in the crowd? I didn't see a security checkpoint, so who knows?

They left them in the car because they knew if they had carried those weapons around DC they would have been arrested before they ever got to "the grand event." Duh!

Weird that you think our government doesn't have every weapon known to man. I guess you think they just have rocks and sticks?

The object of the insurrection was to halt certification of electoral votes, and it was successful, temporarily.
Yes, "temporarily". If they'd truly been trying to overthrow our government then they would have brought better weapons, rather than sticks, and would have overthrown it...since the Capitol building wasn't guarded very well at all.

Have you even considered what may have happened to the Speaker or the VP if they had been captured by the mob? Never mind. Those "tourists" probably just wanted their autographs.
Probably nothing. Even IF there was someone there that had actually wanted to harm them, then the vast majority of others would have stopped them. Common sense is not your strong suit.

Oh geeze...queen bee Pelosi is far from being innocent. For four years she tried to throw Trump out of office using every dirty little trick in her playbook but failed. If you think January 6 only happened because of a lost election without considering what Pelosi and her heathens did to Trump during his entire presidency then you are the one who refuses to acknowledge the real truth about January 6 in it's entirety.

Where were the "security checkpoints" to pat people down for guns?

The very few that had actually carried guns on the grounds, how many times were those guns used, in any way shape or form?
