I'd need to see some real data on the underlying issues, no doubt there are people that fell on hard times or had tragedy befall them. But at the same time, a LOT of people took advantage of the system.

Our shortage of workers has nothing to do with illegals, the deteriorating lifestyle in Central America and other parts of the world is the source of that increasing number.

So there are no more handouts, so the folks who got them don't have them anymore so they can't live off of them. And what does illegal immigration have to do with the Americans who got subsidies from the previous admin. and this one.

Mexico has jobs and more Fords will be produced in Mexico or here?
The shortage of workers is mostly due to the willingness of some to live off others. As we expand the welfare state, we import illegal immigrants to fill those jobs vacated by the welfare state. That is the justification for open-borders policy.

As the handouts Trump, Biden, and other politicians were so willing to give dry up, those that are entitled will look to the government to save them. The government will likely do so at the taxpayer's expense. And by the taxpayer, I am talking about the ones that write checks every year to get the IRS off our ass, not the refund crowd.

Rather than providing jobs for illegal immigrants, those unwilling to work should be forced to choose between working and eating. When there are no jobs for illegal immigrants, there will be no illegal immigration.

I'm confused. There a record number of jobs going unfilled. Perhaps some of these people who can't pay their rent could - dare I say it - get a second job? I know, I know - common sense and actual work are, according to liberals, racist or something.

Just a reminder about how great illegal workers are.

<puts on corporate america hat>

See, we can work em, they have no rights, won't try to unionize we turn a blind eye to flaws in everify or just hire via "sub contractors".

Then if things go bad we just fire them and it's like 1910 all over, they're not even people.

Best of all, if anyone complains? We call them RACISTS while patting ourselves on the back for our progressive viewpoints.

So the next time you see AOC crying about the holocaust of kids in cages....please support her because we need those child laborers and their family to work for crap with no rights or benefits....and don't be racists and complain.

Ooh, maybe it’s time for Democrats to impose a national eviction moratorium, just in time for the election.
Who cares about those mom and pop landlords who depend on rent payments?

During the pandemic, foreclosures were effectively 0. Therefore, increasing by 132% is meaningless, especially for someone financially astute like you.

Hang on here -- I missed this the first time. So foreclosures are up 139% from last year.

But wait a minute they are still significantly lower than they were in 2019 -- when we were told all was hunky dory.

So we are returning to less than what we thought was normal and folks are freaking out.

Scroll down -- with this awful inflation we are still beetter off than we were in December of 2019 with regards to foreclosures

WHAT?

For now, we are better off. But we are rapidly trending in the wrong direction. What do you think will be the long-term impact of inflation across housing, autos, food, fuel, and general expenses combined with higher middle-class unemployment, foreclosures, repossessions, and tightening credit?

It is true --- people not paying rent and who don't have jobs have no excuse.
