No problem. If they don't want to work, then they shouldn't ask for or get any welfare, food stamps, or the like.
However, that IS the problem with most of these people. They refuse to work, but still expect the government, i.e. the taxpayers, to support them.
I think the actual problem is that big corporations expect the government to pick up the tab via social programs, allowing them to pay employees less than they need to live, enabling greater profits. The taxpayers are subsidizing corporate profits.
I would try to explain to you why Democrats caused the rent increases but I am too tired to bother. It's clear you are entrenched in your Bernie Sanders socialism mentality. It's sad that even when the economy is going to shi$ because of those policies, you still won't see it.
Don't bother...and FYI I can't stand Bernie Sanders so it would be wise for you to quit passing judgment on people you don't even know.

You mean when Trump enacted the eviction moratorium that allowed people to skip paying rent and then the landlords, once able to collect again, jumped the rents a ridiculous amount? Yeah, that. Nice try though.

Anecdotal but along those lines. We were fortunate to have our kids in good schools...mainly upper middle class but some diversity. Talking to teachers about the parents who didn't 'chip in' for class trips, class parties, etc.....they overwhelmingly said it was the wealthier parents that didn't cough up the funds.
Why? Because they knew their kids would not be denied. They knew that the school (PTA had a fund) would pay so all kids could participate .
So no doubt many people abused the rental programs implemented by the this and the last administration.
while a terrible analogy, that's most likely the liberal parents
they are, after all, the ones who will push for "free lunch for all students" for a variety of reasons, none of which have to do with whether they can afford their kids' lunch or not.
Generally and anecdotally, the tenants who were good payers and kept their job in the pandemic continued to be good payers.
Because 12,000,000 American workers have left the workforce permanently. The labor force participation rate has sunk like a rock.
Next question please.
your number is way off. The LFPR is an issue, but the number is closer to 3MM.
