But it's okay if a state government wants to block a consensual couple from using contraception in a sexual relationship?
oh and when did that happen....150 years ago
sorry charley, contraception is easy for ANYONE to get....
you cant make a medicine a "federal right".......... if you think that's what it should be, then why not start with the right to a home....omg!!, you just solved the homeless problem........ heck let's make everything a federal right
Why should any government, state or federal, have any right to regulate our sexual relationships? Whether or not 2 individuals in a sexual relationship decide to use contraception or not should be entirely up to them, not the government!
Any medicine and product in this country are regulated from the water that comes to our faucets that We pay to the food. How is the government regulating your sexual relationship? Are they mandating how to have sex and with who and for how long?
Any service and product can be regulated and tax especially interstate commerce.
Why should any government, state or federal, have any right to regulate our sexual relationships? Whether or not 2 individuals in a sexual relationship decide to use contraception or not should be entirely up to them, not the government! How we manage our sexual relationships shouldn't be a state issue, either...
exactly...get the government (all levels) out of our bedrooms and bodies..... no medicine (wanted or unwanted (a mandated faux-vaccine) should be mandated or a right
the government should not be declaring anything like that as a right...or banned...or illegal... or mandated
contraception is between the people and their doctors... not some federal entity to tell me it is a right
Why should any government, state or federal, have any right to regulate our sexual relationships? Whether or not 2 individuals in a sexual relationship decide to use contraception or not should be entirely up to them, not the government! I think that's what the Congressional bill does - it enshrines into law that it should be up to couples, not the government. How we manage our sexual relationships shouldn't be a state issue, either...
I have no idea what you're talking about. A federal law banning contraceptives violates the Constitution. That's all I said, but you're yapping about state governments now. I'll tell you what - let's cross that bridge when we get to it. Until then, focus.
why should something covered under individual/group insurance, be a federal "right"
anyone can go buy condoms
anyone (usually females) who goes to a doctor, can get a prescription for contraception...and get it filled at any drug store.... the only thing insurance is for is to pay for it
the FEDERAL government should have NOTHING to do with contraception, except the FDA to make sure it is safe
what is it that the liberfascists want?.... it is make it a federal "right", so it can be free??
because if that is the case... then guns and ammo should be free...it also means that there shouldn't be a thing called a marriage license, as you should not have to pay for a right
why dont liberals be honest...all the crap they peddle is about nannycare
Don't be deliberately obtuse. They want to make contraception federally legal so states can't ban it. Nothing to do with who pays for it.

Contraception is easy to get because it is legal. What happens when a state decides certain types of contraception are illegal because they are considered Abortifacients?
We are not talking about who pays. Just that the drug or product remains legal.
