Too bad some here won't look at the illegality of what Trump has done and how he has brought all this on himself with the fraud he has committed. Thankfully, he's in the court system now, and hopefully justice will prevail.

Yet 30 minutes later, you told me you didn't know how the court system worked. Which is it?

Cohen, the guy who got himself arrested and put in prison? LOL

The AG needs to recuse herself. She began her first day in office promising to target Trump and have him arrested. She had a clear agenda of bias, and needs to recuse herself. This will all be another big nothing. You all thought you had him when the government carried out a 3-year $50 million Russian collusion investigation that was based on lies and a paid informant. How many times can you keep falling for the same scam?

So, for the sake of argument, let's say Trump did inflate the paper values of some of his assets.

Wouldn't there have to be some harm done to lenders (banks/insurance companies) for their to be a prosecutable crime?

I see no mention of any civil/criminal complaints by the lenders of these deals where he inflated the values. Did they suffer a loss in these deals?

Seems this is the AG sticking her nose into details hoping to find evidence of a crime before any crime was reported or alleged. Which is backwards of the way the system is supposed to work.

A bank will not take a borrower's word as to the value of assets; they will send their appraiser to evaluate the property. Same with property taxes. The jurisdiction assessing the tax will send their assessor to evaluate the property.

The reason this hack went for civil lawsuit because the burden of proof is way lower and this is political. She will lose the case.
all good points, if you mean the Bank won't lend based on a borrower's own valuation of their collateral.

One doesn’t get a 100+ million dollar loan by filling out an online application.

That’s why the premise of her case has holes on the surface.

Aren't all AG's elected?

Any elected official will be somewhat political.

blah blahblah. You can declare the 'worth' of anything you own at any time. If it is a house, or property, it only rings true when the actual UNDERWRITER for the lender for the buyer agrees with that. IF it is a business, fine, pay the taxes on the inflated worth.

just another meaningless distraction.

The more they harass Trump, the more sympathy he will gain. The more sympathy he gains, the greater the influx of campaign donations.

You see, many people will imagine "What if I were in his place?" They will empathize with him. So, let the Dems continue on this path of destruction.

Also, NY should hang on to that money to support their influx of "new" citizens to their sanctuary city. Once you get a few, others rapidly follow!
