Nearly 30% of men say progress toward gender equality has come at their expense, according to new report

Men are losing their rights. College has now become a hostile environment for them. i have seen it in the workplace too. All a woman has to do is make an accusation.

I was able to get a mortgage on my own with a down payment of $0, and an income of $24,000 on a $93,000 house. In retrospect, they shouldn't have made the loan to me because I was stretched. I rented out the house and managed to make it work. That's complete BS about women not being able to get a mortgage without a man. I bought mine in 1993. No man involved.
May have been 1972. Crone is not a spring chicken.
Although women had varying degrees of property rights and financial freedoms throughout history, it was technically legal for banks to refuse loans and credit to unmarried women (or require a husband’s permission for married applicants) until the Equal Credit Opportunity Act was passed in 1974.

Why is that. I made more money than both my husbands for most of our marriage. That had no bearing on our relationship.

I was responding to another post regarding women not being able to get credit.

It was shortly before the equal credit law was passed. Just 48 short years ago.

I'm 83, and have a long memory.

So you aren't married to them anymore. Proves my point doesn't it?

As unlikely as this is, I sure would welcome it.

Gender equality is not at men's expense but perhaps where we're headed isn't really towards gender equality.

The argument made by Bill Maher is that there is a large problem brewing within society that goes unacknowledged and the rise of social media has made the problem worse. What thinks you?
No. Men are not in crisis. Some males that identify as men may be in crisis, but not actual men.
