No - it will be because of the stupidity of the average American. The average voter really, truly believes that the Administration of the day has a significant effect on the economy. In good times the Administration is genius, when it is going South, it's surely their fault.
In reality it has almost nothing to do with the actions or inaction of the current Administration. Just look at the recession and inflation of the 1970's. That crossed numerous Administrations both Democrat and GOP, and none of them had any significant impact on it either way.
