They voted for a resolution to go to war as a last resort. Many said after voting (In particular Hillary) that it was the most difficult vote in their career and they trusted Bush to use diplomacy until it was exhausted. Bush took that trust and booted the inspectors out, marching into Iraq.
I don't agree. Saddam was not a terrorist but a secular dictator who detested the fundie terrorists and wanted nothing to do with them.
When you pay the families of suicide bombers $25,000 to blow themselves up this does indeed make you a terrorist.I have mixed feelings about the war,and I am conservative.Even back in 2002 I was screaming to stay in Afghanistan.But really we were not going to get Bin Ladin.We would find a pocket of Taliban,call in the bombers,then let the Northern Alliance go in.We really could have done a much better job there.Now you are seeing their resurgence.It appears we barely crippled them
Saddam killed over 10k people and his son's tortured over 1000's of people.
Hey Bush tried his ass off to do what ever he could to save the USA.
