That's nice.

But the fact is Canada DOES have a shortage of Doctors.

The fact IS the UK has medical professionals leaving the country.

Quote:
In the study, of the 65% of junior doctors who did not intend to study medicine in the United Kingdom, two fifths cited UK working conditions as the main reason for wanting to leave--they wanted to stick with medicine but practice abroad. Two thirds gave reasons related to lifestyle choices.

Pre conditions would not be a problem. Let's see how many of the staunch private insurance users stay private when they see everyone else getting better, unrestricted treatment for far less money.

I think fire departments should be privately owned. When your $1,000,000 home is on fire you should have a seat at a table by the Joe's Fire House inc. secretary, to fill out forms while your house is burning down.

Got cancer, forget about it.
Are you saying that food is a right guaranteed by the Constitution?

The history of firefighting in this country was that they were private entities. That is why the term company is still used when describing a station house. They were paid by the insurers of the home or building that they tried to save.
Problems arose because it was a very lucrative business and therefore very competitive. The result was that several companies would show up at one fire and instead of putting the fire out, there would be fistfights between companies on the street.

Nothing is free but i love how some Americans are fighting tooth and claw to keep a extremely expensive and inefficient health system in America. Maybe they all have fought to bring back black and white T.V.'s or the use of chloroform in operations....lol

Obama's healthcare plan will make private medical care and insurance illegal in this country.

(a) IN GENERAL.—It is unlawful for a private health
6 insurer to sell health insurance coverage that duplicates
7 the benefits provided under this Act.
8 (b) CONSTRUCTION.—Nothing in this Act shall be
9 construed as prohibiting the sale of health insurance cov10
erage for any additional benefits not covered by this Act,
11 such as for cosmetic surgery or other services and items
12 that are not medically necessary.

Question For people that don't want qov't bureaucrats making their health choices....

For people that don't want government bureaucrats making their health choices, why are you OK with private bureaucrats (aka insurance companies) making them?

Where did this myth that doctors are making your health choices come from? Doctors treat you based on what you insurance company is willing to pay. And in many cases need a approval before hand to even start a treatment.

It will be 'free' to a lot of people as they won't be paying for it,myself included hopefully.

Not quite.
We're fighting to keep a rushed, poorly planned program from being instituted that may be of inferior quality, inadequate and, for many, more expensive than what we have now.

No one has ever said Doctors shouldn't be paid. Big difference between practicing money medicine and practicing actual medicine. NO poor Doctors in the UHC countries.
