Enough with the Holier than Thou. I am no fan of the GOP, but my goodness how the Democrats disappoint and offer the American electorate little more than apologists and monied elites. Clean house first!
"Turn on, tune in and drop out" is making more sense now than it did then.
"Strive and strive and you will succeed" is like a casino dealer saying "bet more and you will win more". You will strive and they get rich. I would tell a kid to work as hard as you have to keep the job and not one bit more. Spend your energy on making and keeping money for yourself.
Don't bother with a savings account except for short term savings because the long term inflation will negate all your gains. The stock market is just a bigger casino.
Buy an inexpensive a home as possible with as small a mortgage as possible. Make your own improvements. Do the same with cars but pay cash.
Measure your success not by the amount of money you make but by the time you spend with your family compared with the time you work for that money.
"Turn on, tune in and drop out" is making more sense now than it did then. Except leave out the “Turn On” part you can follow my plan completely straight and sober. That way you can more accurately tell your friends form your enemies.
Why does being conservative automatically connect me with religion? I am completely agnostic/ borderline atheist and have been voting/arguing conservative ideology my whole life. God isn't my motivation, my responsiblity to the human race to be accountable for myself, to help those truely in need, stay out of other peoples business, and provide as much as I can for my family and country is my motivation, and that is what I'll tell my kids.

Abortion is murder..... and if you had read my link in post 21 you would know that the right give much more to charity than the left do. It is obvious that we care about others more than the left does. Also, I know not one single conservative in real life that "hates gays"
