It won't die out but it will take on new forms. Young people disagree on whether or not we should have affirmative action laws and hate crime laws and things like that.

We also grew up with the internet so we have near infinite information available at our fingertips and are connected and get information/news very quickly. In 50 years things will be way different as this generation gets older... in my opinion anyway

Have you seen videos of the teabagger rallies? Those folks look like they've got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

I can link recent polls showing the numbers of Americans who describe themselves as conservative has risen to almost twice the number of those who describe themselves as liberal. And the gap is actually widening!

Can you please link one poll proving your assertion?

That's exactly why conservatism will thrive in America.

Conservatives Maintain Edge as Top Ideological Group

Looks to me like there are twice as many conservatives as liberals. And that number seems to be rising. I would be willing to bet that it could go as high as 45% between now and 2012. From what I see from the Massachusetts senate race, I think the Democrats are destined for a world of hurt in the next several elections.

we can only hope that both conservatism and liberalism both die out and all the people of the USA realize that freedom from goverment is the best way for goverment to serve its people.

Except the poll doesn't even make since. Why then weren't republicans in total power during those years?
