Pats played a better QB last week in Smith who is very mobile and was able to escape the rush Manning is a sitting duck back there be surprised if he makes it through the game. All we hear about is the Denver pass rush well Pats were second to Denver in sacks neither team has a great o line but Brady is much more elusive in the pocket and won't turtle up at the first sign of a rush

Shut down the running game make Denver one dimensional and no way will that offense keep pace with Brady
Manning can't make the throws to beat the New England defense

Pats really need to address the offensive line in the offseason. Brady did about as well as can be expected with such little protection.

To the rest of you Pats fans (who are good people) that was a helluva season. You guys overcame a lot of adversary and took us down to the wire. You should be proud as hell of your accomplishments.

Here's to hoping we can keep the Lombardi Trophy in the AFC!

There are a slew of reasons I could give as why the Patriots lost today.

-If the Pats hadn't lost to the Eagles or Miami, the game would have been played in Gillette.
-If Deon Lewis and Blount hadn't gone down for the season, maybe the run game would have been better.
-If Gostkowski hadn't missed the extra point (at the most inopportune time), an extra point could have tied the game in the end instead of having to go for two.
-If the offensive line could have given Brady 1/2 second more on a bunch of plays, maybe we could have scored more.

But honestly, Denver's defense won the game today. The Pats lost by 2 points because Brady got pummelled all game.

Now it's time to think about the off season. We all know the offensive line needs work. Players like Chandler and Lafelle should go. I could wish for a tall receiver but that's not going to happen, and we don't have a 1st round draft pick anyways. And we still have to deal with Deflategate in MArch (Goodell must be sipping Champagne right now).

Here's a competitive advantage for you. Forget deflated balls or taping. Denver has an advantage playing and practicing at altitude. Just felt like saying that

It was a great year following a Super Bowl Championship, but a frustrating way to end the season.

Gronk really proved today why he is the best TE in the game, and easily one of the best to ever play the position.

Hats off to the Broncos. Their defense won the the game today.

I still think they should have kicked the FG in the 4th to make it 20-15. You had about 2:40 left on the clock, all 3 timeouts and the two minute warning.
