It was definitely a reason. He came off in the end as just the sort of flaky, game playing sort I didn't want to deal with. Difficult to make plans with, everything had to be on his terms, but he'd never let me know what on earth those terms might be. Like dating the human version of a housecat. Are you in? Out? MAKE UP YOUR MIND dammit!
Like I said, it never would have worked out. It was always going to NOT work out. I've accepted that. After 3 years, I darn well had better have accepted it.
I will have a good time whether he shows up or not, but the mystery of it, as usual, has me piqued.
A human housecat. Good one.
My dilemma. I want lasagna. We don't have the "fixins" for lasagna and don't have any frozen lasagna meals. Those aren't that great. But they aren't entirely bad either. Anyway we don't have any lasagna and I don't want to go to a restaurant for lasagna.

Dammit. I want lasagna.
Do you have Fazoli's where you are? That's where I'd go. They've got that sort of thing at the fast food level of quick and cheap. I like the fettucine alfredo though, personally.

I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the suggestion.
Our last three kids all moved out recently and when I text them to find out how things are going, they reply with one word, or one letter responses, or a bunch of letters meant to represent words as in IOKU?
I am instructed that rather than asking whether they like their roommates, or how their new job is going I am only supposed to text "RUOK?"
I suppose that if I want to know whether they like their roommates, it should be DYLYRMs? Or IYNJI? (Is your new job interesting?).
Is she trying to play the piano, encourage you to play or, um, trying to keep you from playing?
A little of each.
