As a whole, the Providence of America is "FORGET YOU.. WE REVOLT". Meaning we don't listen to anybody, and kick out those we don't believe in.
Than the whole world put their chips in during WW2 and US came out on top. Than any commodity MUST be traded in US Dollars, meaning you need America to function.
This level of arrogance and individuality can be seen as 'selfish'.
But outside of that narrow scope Americans will never sacrifice any of their comforts for society or community.
Why?
It's a selfish capitalist society
Capitalism has worked great for the US (everybody on their own)
but the ugly side comes out when a national disaster happens and the culture is one of "everybody on their own"
We can see it right now with everyone partying during the outbreak.
Sure Americans of all colors and sizes will be kind and pretend to care about a lot of stuff.
Maybe if something happens to them or their inner circle, they will start fighting for that cause.

I'm not worried about the average consumer buying two weeks worth of toilet paper instead of one. We have seen what happens when everyone fills their gas tanks a little sooner than half of us normally would. As an analogy, gasoline is an excellent example because 1.) the average person does not have anywhere else to store much gasoline other than their vehicles' tanks - maybe a couple of 1 gallon or 5 gallon tanks. 2.) the average person will not consume much more or less gasoline during times of a run on the gas stations or otherwise.
I'm worried about those who bought goods by the pallet to price gouge. According to free-market economists, there is no such term as "price gouging". I disagree.
All of them, and all immigrants become Americanized at some point.
And even the ones who are not mostly come here for their own family to get wealthy. None of that is wrong but its all that's fundamental to the American being.
Sure people will talk about kindness and all that, but its all about getting their kids into the best schools even at the detriment of others, buying useless stuff and pretending its culture, and getting first in line regardless of the consequences.
Every single American is selfish, regardless of race/class/ethnicity. People just show it in different ways.
So you know every single American in this country I would say you are not only condescending, but narrow minded and judgmental.
I believe the problem we are having now is people panicking and I honestly believe if we didn’t have social media and constant news reporters screaming we all are gonna die! It would be much better. I would say what ever country you come from people are just as selfish. If you don’t like it here you are free to leave.

I repped you and want to say, when I get a little extra at this time, I give some foods and a bottle of Vit C to a friend who is stuggling more. So many AMericans have too much and so ungrateful.
They can't let anything get in the way of their consumerist life style
You should have started with this as your thesis, and stuck with it. Narrowly.
