It's the second one I've caught and released here.
I know it's brackish here, but jeez that's funny....
That is weird! They must be falling over the spillway while young, but I wonder how long they can live...any size to them?

You need to put an outboard motor and tower on that thing.

Hmmm....cooler seat. Good idea. Tower, not so much. I need a longer paddle, like the type those stand up boarders use.

Went out today from 3-6. Missed some of the peak hours from 2-430. It showed.
When we pinned the boat down in 2' of water in the east keys it was a catch every cast.
Lots of short speck trout, some close enough to measure. Lots of lady fish too. It was fun but it pretty much shut down at 430.

Winds were light on the way out and strong out of the north on the way back in.

Fished all day today, 9-5. Solunar tables indicated it was a bad day for fishing and they didn't lie. The weather was very pleasant and the seas were calm. The fish must have stayed out partying all night long. My friend got a cat at our first stop on the East wall and his wife got a small sheepy at our ast stop in the Myaaka cutoff. We got absolutely not bites the entire rest of the day.

Do any of you use the solunar tables to schedule your fishing?

No, don't use them. But then again, if I had to survive on my fish catching skills, I'd starve!

I have learned and am still learning that the tide is the most important single factor on weather or not I catch fish. Incomming tide is the best if not at least look for moving water.

Has the crabbing in the canals picked up with the weather cooling a bit?
