I used to shop at the H-Mart in Catonsville, MD, and I saw American-born shoppers of European and African descent, Hispanics, Indians and many other Asian nationalities. They also had good prices on birthday cakes, housewares and appliances.

Their Korean influence does show in the massive selection of Kimchi, and our old store had a Korean rice cake vendor (they are the size of frisbees).

Super H isn't like the little mom and pop stores we have here. It's a big chain, and the stores are usually WalMart sized - with grocery, restaurant, beauty, and vendor areas.
Rice pops! I love those! (Especially the green tea flavored rice pops)

I wonder if Publix would consider opening Publix Sabor stores in the Raleigh-Cary and Durham-Chapel Hill areas.

You have made my day!

Yes, H-Mart attracts a diverse crowd. Fresh produce and fish at great prices usually has that effect. Also, I have never seen the clientele man handle the fish as I have seen at Grand Asia - it is kept behind glass. I was surprised when I saw that at Grand Asia.

Huh? I don't understand what you mean. (I've never had the opportunity to visit an H-mart, but shop at large Asian grocery stores frequently.)
