Wait, when I said that I didn't know there actually was a Dave & Busters already there. That is funny.
Yep, they shuffled some stores around to build out the space for it back in 2013. Belk and Dave & Buster's were supposed to be the only two things to survive the redevelopment...everything else was to be torn down.
I thought that Dave & Busters were located primarily in zombie malls. I don’t see how they or Belks would fit in with a private corporate headquarters campus. I would be surprised if either company had a long-term lease in the CTC.
I kind of doubt Belks will even be around in 7 years. It seems like a brand with an identity crisis, doesn't know what it's supposed to be anymore. They keep trimming stores and becoming more and more like Dillards.... bottom budget racks and few people working the floor.
Lolol @ Quebec City.
TD is in it for a Cup.
Canadian teams don't win cups.
The future of the NHL is in low tax areas where players get to keep more of their earnings.
TD wants an intown arena with opportunities for development surrounding the facility.
NCGA will not provide that opportunity at Edwards Mill Rd.
That Downtown Cary site offers amazing development potential.
Eh.
Regardless, I'm just pickin and grinnin.
As a fan of Vancouver's hockey team (rooted for them before the Canes existed), this post makes me sad.
One of the co-owners is a part owner of the Hurricanes.
oooooooo.
Mark Rein owns a sliver...
I didn't know this.
Interestingly, the Canes' site withholds his name, as one of those "seven investment partners have chosen to keep their partnerships private."
