In terms of Canes who played in at least one game last season, here's the list of departures so far.
Traded during season: Dzingel, Fleury
Traded after season: Bean, Foegele
Claimed by Seattle in expansion draft: Geekie
Free agent who signed elsewhere: Hakanpaa, Hamilton, McGinn, Mrazek, Pacquette, Reimer, Rempal, Ryan
Retired: Shore
Yet to be determined:
Gardiner - still on roster
McCormick - free agent, not signed with any team yet
Not a Canes fan but I don't think any fan should be happy about where they are with the goaltending situation
Yeah I'm a fan but I hear ya. Makes you wonder what goalies are available. Maybe that's why Boston held on to Rask despite his disappearing act....And maybe that's why he felt he could....disappear that is.

Colorado had their sights on Fredik Andersen as replacement for Grubauer, and had to go to plan C when we signed Andersen.
Not that Darcy Kuemper is a terrible compromise or anything...
Derek Stepan signed to a 1 year deal, decent 3rd/4th line filler, probably holding down the fort until Jack Drury is ready.

Well if it goes wrong, De'Angelo will never see NHL ice again so it's up to De'Angelo to make the most of this last chance. FWIW I believe I read somewhere that De'Angelo respects Rod and looks forward to playing under him.
We signed Joe Corvo a number of years ago. He came with some baggage, but it turned out well. He became Joe Scorvo. Let's not give on DeAngelo quite yet.

I remember that but Corvo didn't come with a hothead reputation who got into physical scrums with teammates. I'll give the guy a chance, and it is 1 year after all, but again he's got to understand if he fails to "behave" himself then he's done in the NHL, personally I would have thought he'd of learned that lesson by now.
