I remember that but Corvo didn't come with a hothead reputation who got into physical scrums with teammates. I'll give the guy a chance, and it is 1 year after all, but again he's got to understand if he fails to "behave" himself then he's done in the NHL, personally I would have thought he'd of learned that lesson by now.
Not here to defend Tony D, but, as a Ranger fan, I know that he was a popular guy in the room and most of the trouble he got himself into was a combination of immaturity and being super competitive.
If you read some of the press around the guy, you would think he's skating around wearing a white hood.
That just isn't the truth.
He isn't a great defender, Aho incident aside, but he isn't terrible either. He is, though, a great puck mover, skater and offensive threat.
If he can return to form, we won't be missing Dougie all that much.

I saw some of that and just rolled my eyes, he's far from the only Trump guy in major pro sports but he's probably the most vocal about it. And, whatever. His decision.

Same, McGinn will be missed. His game 7 performance in Washington was the stuff of legends.
We asked about a seat upgrade this season, and in the section and area I requested nothing was available.
People started grunting and drooling about the TDA signing, and saying they would terminate their STM plans.
I emailed my ticket rep and told him we were still interested in upgrading.
And....
"Mike, just this morning a pair of seats came up on the board." We got great seats that weren't available earlier.
I hope TDA plays good hockey and deports himself in an adult fashion.
Long-term contracts are a risk in the sense that Svechnikov could get hurt or underperform against expectations, stranding a lot of salary in the process (e.g. Vinny Lecavalier). But to win the Cup, the Canes need Svech and they won't get a low first-round pick anytime soon.
Assuming that Necas is locked down at some point, the next big uncertainty is whether the Canes will re-sign Aho in the summer of 2024 -- or renegotiate and extend his contract before then. Staal's contract expires in summer of 2023 but there won't be the bidding war for him that there will surely be for Aho.
