Agreed.
You are correct. 99% was purely cosmetic. Actually, there was no plumbing or electrical work done. We replaced the cabinets, countertops, rearranged the layout for better access, etc.
Just curious, but what was NOT cosmetic? It looked like the gas range was moved? Did that involve gas line work? Because that would definitely have me concerned.
If all you did was replace cabinets and counters, I would not question it all. I'd just figure that was more like routine maintenance as opposed to a major renovation.

Well, right off the top I see you moved the gas stove which required moving the gas line, and added a microwave, which probably required adding an electrical connection. That's a bit more complex than changing out cabinets and putting up tile.
Perhaps I missed your response, but did you apply for a building permit, get the work inspected and close out the permit when you were done? "Everything was up to spec" is not the answer to my questions.
I didn't say I'm going to lie to the potential buyers.
My delicate feelings. I answered a question for you. Your response was rude. Didn't bother me but did show that you were looking more for validation than advice.
You showed a rehabbed kitchen with no scope of work mentioned (as an engineer you should know what scope of work is).
You queried whether buyers would want to know that you did the work yourself.
Everyone complimented you on how nice it looks. I didn't, but I did try to offer you advice by questioning whether you had followed your local codes, which would cause you problems in the sale if you hadn't.

Yes, yes, and yes.
There was an electrical outlet there. Hang up the microwave and plug in.
Bought longer gas connector from home depot.
Again, most of it is cosmetic. Simply utilized existing outlets. We did it over the July 4h holiday weekend. There wasn't really time to do anything structural, electrical, or plumbal.
