As I dozed on the couch, eyes closed, familiar dialog and music from the old film a lullaby, I felt kitty curl up at my feet to join me in slumber.
I would dream of... a cabin in the woods, the scent of pine, a sky brilliant with stars, campfires, waterfalls, the bear which visited each night at dinnertime...
I love exploring the beaches on the Oregon coast & Kauai...
Thanks Hawk!! I had such a great day with him! Crystal blue sky, clear turquoise water, we swam in the warm ocean, played in the sand, had lunch on the boardwalk of Hollywood Beach and we just really enjoyed each other's company. This is exactly why I needed a Sunday off, so I can spend some real quality time with my son.
Spent Sunday in bed like a dead log after working till 330am sat night!! Having a friend cook me dinner tonight so that should be fun! Looking forward to it..Hoping my 2nd interview goes well and I get hired!!
Saturday: We attended a birthday party up in CT. Kids had a blast. Came home, showered, got dolled up and hit the town with my husband while the in-laws babysat (they stayed for the weekend.)
Sunday: stepped on the scale and I'm 3 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight. Then met up with some of my daughter's friends and their parents at the local fall festival (also happens to be the biggest on the island.) Came home and played outside with the kids until it got dark.
I spent 11.5 hours yesterday at a dragstrip "top fuel" race with my sweetie - he's been wanting to go for months, and I have to admit, those cars are just amazing! Made us coffee, bacon and waffles this morning. So far, it's a good weekend.
Also, nailed a couple of good bargains at an auction!!!
