I realize there are other benefits to a relationship. You want sex, I don't.

But besides sex, there are other benefits.

However, those benefits come with the stress and commitment of a relationship.

I don't think the stress and commitment is worth it.

I do believe you have the makings of a thread on this issue 'The benefits of a relationship' or "Do the benefits of a relationship outweigh the stress?" and think you should start one.

Taoists believe that everything in life has a natural cycle - perhaps that's what you're encountering.

Mine lasted 15 years, but then I've always been a short-cycle kind of guy.

Oh, Chunk, if I were a guy, I wouldn't use the adjective "short" describing myself in ANY way!

Why not? I ride the short bus...

I feel like crap - took a fall into the club's sump pit Friday night. We got flooded again, the Keystone Cop/Fire Department came to pump us out, and as I'm trying to show them how to set up (since they couldn't figure it out themselves) they banged the pump into me, knocking me backwards into the pit.

The pit is about 6'x6'x10' deep and was filled with both mountain run-off and filthy river water. In addition, from previous floods over the years this basement is filled with mold. I went in like a cat, twisting in mid-air to try to right myself, ripped a PVC pipe off its mounting but ended up going in sideways. I righted myself underwater and kicked back up to the surface but now I have the Mother of all colds in addition to two big bruises on my legs.

The only good thing is that I've had home-made spaghetti-and-meatballs and roast chicken brought to me by my ladies, to help me through my convalescence. The cool towels on my boiling head help, too.
