Well, you should be. Marriage comes first then you have children. Or if an unmarried couple wants to have children, it's best they get married. Children are one of the reasons marriage was invented. Children need their mother and their father.

I prefer newborn, but definitely before they are a year old.

In your culture perhaps. In my grandfathers village, a woman had children before she got married. Who wanted to marry a barren woman? Not that marriage was all that monogamous. Further, incest was revered among the royalty.

Quote:
Practiced among the ali’i only, incestuous unions were considered with much respect. If the royal union bore fruit, the child would be of the highest kapu rank. His kapus would be equal to those of the gods. He was called divine, akua, and was considered a god. The most perfect and revered union was that of a full brother and sister of highest rank.

Being able to afford a large family is a primary consideration, but certainly not the only one. Four children can be a lot of work, especially if they're close in age. I'm the oldest of six, and I don't remember spending much "alone" time with my parents.

You're a freshman in college, right? Maybe you could come back here after (1) you're married and (2) you have two or three kids...then tell us if you want to continue to have four or more.

Medically speaking preferably less than 30 but no later than 35.

I think 27 personally is a good age. Not so young that the person hasn't enjoyed the single life or life with just their partner. But also with enough time to meet the "health requirements" and have enough time to spend time with the child in the younger ages, while still having the 30s to focus on career while the kids go to school.

And what about if it was his fault?

Unless you are pursuing graduate or professional degrees/training, in which case, that would be a HORRIBLE time and you sure as heck wouldn't have gotten to enjoy any life at all.
