Well in general any sort of temporary happiness cannot be rated too highly. If I just went through life watching great TV shows, drinking when I felt like it, hanging out with friends, having random sex, I'd have lots of "fun" but nothing to show for it. Twenty years later I'd just have memories of what happened, and be left with really nothing at all.
When I make a music video, for instance, I put a lot of hard work into it and it causes a lot of stress, but the feeling of accomplishment far outweighs any small feeling of temporary happiness. Even much later I can look back on the video and feel proud of what I did, I'll always have that accomplishment to my name. It's a more lasting feeling thus of higher value to me as far as enjoyment goes.

Actually, your beer gut and STDs would provide the effect for ya!
I'm saying I'd like to stay out of rat races because it is incredibly borrrring.
I don't even compete when it comes to dating. If a dude isn't interested in me and is setting the hurdle high for me to leap over, forget him, and I let him know to his face that he isn't that special for me to keep trying to win him over........that is how I see everything in life...easy and simple and reliable
There are many people like that. Some people are born to run the show and some people are born to work the show. Chiefs and Indians, per se. Nothing wrong with that at all, I have met people that were raised and tokd by their parents to wake up 5 days a week, go to work, clock in, clock out, receive a check on Friday, retire at 65, collect pension/retirement. I was never taught that. I was taught to not work for someone else. Everyone has different needs and comfort levels. If I did not do what I do and have done in the past (ex-hubbys businesses excluded), I would have been Bankrupt 10x over from my comfort zone in living. What I do is very stressful, but I absolutely love it. No sleep is not a problem - there is enough time to sleep when I am dead!
