That speaks of your insecurities as a MAN to refuse to date a woman who studied this field. I find that to be laughable and sad, and Im sure most women who read this do as well.

At one time, I would have voted to run fast but now that I care little, I would settle for the good looking one and enjoy the comic relief.

One problem is that you will ALWAYS be the higher earner and she will be well versed in squeezing the most out of divorce.

Unequal opportunity probably isn't uncommon. Its a he/she said situation between two people not easily proven.

But, you never know how many other women have been blatantly told the same, with complaints registered against the same company until a suits filed.

My whole career has been around employers who bent over backwards to hire, retain and promote women. Of course, being in a professional area, they tend to go for women (and men for that matter) with good looks. Sorry.

If I was at least 5 times better than these folk at my job (not that difficult, incidentally), I could keep my job and get the last promotion.

I guess it depends on where their head is at. I knew a woman who majored in psychology and minored in women's studies, and she seemed OK, but she had her moments to say the least.
What is even scarier is that she is unlikely to ever earn much more than minimum wage with her head full of this crap. Alimony - here you come!

Gee. I'm jealous. My "gender bashing" threads get locked after 35 minutes!

All PC aside, women are better at some jobs and men are better at others, just like at home. My department is getting a new person soon who happens to be a guy. I'm not very pleased because that's not the type of job for a guy, I don't believe he'll stay long, and I'm sick and tired of going through an apocalypse every year.

Not necessarily.

Does it matter what field they've studied or if they have any type of degree, the question is directed to you?

You want a traditional woman, your preference, and thats fine.

Assuming it means she'll be a stay at home housewife. A scary thing for some women, who may have struggled to pay for her education, to drop it all for man looking for interesting dinner table conversation.

Yes, was can all pack the PC bull**** aside... when a bldg is burning down, I want some big ass dude carrying my fat ass out of a burning bldg.

I don't want some little 5'4'' 120 lady trying to "save" me, just because the department has to be PC and hire women.

Sorry, I'm funny like that.
