Never used one and I can't imagine ever doing so, even if MrsCPG were hit by a bus and left me alone in this world.
However, I think I understand the fascination the subject has for most men: Easy sex on demand when you want. Considering the gyrations most men go through with the dating process, it's like taking a short cut.
I think Clark Gable said it best. Someone asked him why he used a prostitute when so many women would have more than willingly bedded him: "I don't pay them for sex. I pay them to leave."
What I cant get over is this naive notion that just because you decide not to see a prostitute, that you arent paying for sex/companionship. The vast majority of courtships (not even relationships - just courtships) involve men wooing women with gifts, dinners, and spa treatments. Many women in mainstream society are going to be just as slutty as prostitutes - and most men will never even know about it. And some of these men dont even get a relationship in return, much less sex. Yet this is rationalized as somehow more "noble" or something...lol..ok, I guess. And the courtship part is not even something to fuss or whine about, its just the way the game goes. But it just doesnt make sense, to me, for men to act like they made out like a bandit, or like they've taken some sort of high road, when in reality, they are paying for it too.
