They don't realize that you two aren't in a relationship and that you only call when you want sex? Even without knowing that there are others, that would still be a less than ideal situation.

The guys who get laid the most aren't sleeping with 5-6 random women ever week. They build rosters over years so they'll never be without sex even if they're not in relationships. That's something my older brother taught me when I was 16 and its as true today as it was 9 years ago.

And some of these men dont even get a relationship in return, much less sex. Yet this is rationalized as somehow more "noble" or something...lol..ok, I guess. And the courtship part is not even something to fuss or whine about, its just the way the game goes. But it just doesnt make sense, to me, for men to act like they made out like a bandit, or like they've taken some sort of high road, when in reality, they are paying for it too.

There is one other difference many places. Legality. Nobody is going to end up in the grey bar hotel for wooing a woman with drinks or gifts. However, hiring that Escort might be another story. (Ask Elliott Spitzer, who had to resign as NY Governor after getting caught and charged with a man act down in DC).

I've known many successful relationships where the couple were both poor when they met...there was no wooing with spa treatments, and the couple mostly went halfsies.

I have often wondered what happens to prostitutes when they age? Do they make it out of that hole? What is their longevity? A friend of mine who worked in ER told me of a situation where an ex-prostitute came in there in bad shape (substance issues) and didn't make it.

Most prostitutes are nothing but victims of their own choices. Some women are forced into sex trafficking but if you are going to sit up here and say that most streetwalkers in this country are innocent victims forced into this lifestyle then it's hard to take you seriously. I've known women who've been dealt a bad hand in life and never turned to prostitution or porn. Again this isn't to say that prostitutes should be abused and mistreated but don't make them out like poor damsels who have no control over their lives.
