This one's a slam-dunk. I laugh at the usual profile work-up they spout:
- description reliably talks about traveling
- description reliably talks about liking languages and foreigners
- does not like to commit; too independent
- philosophical; student of life
- speaks their mind
I've also met people with nearby birthdays and they are the opposite of this, so I don't believe in it. But I believe in coincidences.
ok and whats wrong with that?
Im a gemini that HAS traveled, I KNOW more than one language and i STUDY another, of course I always speak my mind. If you don't like it, then don't read it.

I'm not a Gemini. This is what I reliably read about ANOTHER sign. LOL. Chill.
Interestingly enough Robert, those list of qualities is what I see alot on many young women's profiles...actually, men too for that matter. Especially the cliches about being "independent," and speaking your mind. As if someone who's living in their parents house is going to say that online...lol.

I find it strange that so many men here complain about American women being boring, and foreign women being educated, interesting, well-travelled and bi-lingual or multi-lingual. The latter describes most women I know here in the US. And here on this thread is a guy complaining about women who put that in their profiles. I'm starting to wonder if some of these US men really have any idea what they want, or how to get it.
I am a typical Scorpio with ALL the scorpio traits. Read a Scorpio book and was so amazed, it was like written a book about me. My Scorpio friends are exactly the same. We are very jealous, sexual and don't ever try hiding anything, we investigate everything and don't believe any stupid excuses.
My ex was a Scorpio with NONE of the scorpio traits. Not even a little bit. Very disappointing.
I am currently dating a GEMINI, talks alot, very funny, smart, but drives me crazy because he can't even commit to tiny things like going away for a weekend and is almost undateable because he is just so freakin independent. I can't catch him. He is the greatest loving and caring person while we are together and then he turns around and I don't hear from him for a week because "I didn't feel like it, is this a PROBLEM?". Very frustrating for a possessive Scorpio
Though I'm hoping that most of the people in the thread know it's not a real science and are just doing it for "the funsies."
I would like to think so, but scanning over some of the posts it sure doesn't look that way. A lot of things are being stated as if they are real/factual.
You know what tells me nothing whatsoever about a person? Knowing the month they were born.
You know what tells me quite a lot about a person? Knowing how superstitious they are about things like the months people were born.
Here's the deal: the occult, which it is, is consulted for "certainty." That way, people can say Gemini, Snake, and Number 6, and they can quantify who they are dealing with. It's also politically correct, and some people believe it or chuckle at it ... and some people find it annoying or foolish.
If we didn't have these batches, then people would need other classifying descriptors. Unfortunately, descriptors like trust fund brat, granola, hick, gold digger, white trash, and others would not fly with most people, though there is some "certainty" with those descriptions, too.
People naturally want to understand things and classify them, just like biologists and botanists.
