How would you want to 'prove' someone got raped? Video tape? Pictures? Like Nila said, most rapists don't care because they either don't think what they're doing is rape (i.e. having sex with a girl that is unconscious) or because they know they won't get caught and that even if they do, it will be nearly impossible to prove. In addition, many women are afraid to come forward with their rape stories because they know that we are a victim blaming society and she will be the one bullied, scorned and thought of as 'dirty'.
It's sad, really.
Regarding a scenario where an adult woman walks down a dark alley at 2:00am in the morning, alone and completely nude, who is sexually assaulted...if people think that's her fault in any way whatsoever, their viewpoint must be destroyed, because there is something sick and wrong with this society, in that case. I'm not sure how to do it though....(not that I've ever met anyone who has been proven to think that...though I have heard the rare story where someone does)

There was a college girl in my hometown that was raped and left in a park and instead of people feeling bad and trying to help her most of the guys were bummed because now she was 'tainted' and 'dirty' and would have mental issues in the future which would make it harder for them to hook up with her.
This is a very common viewpoint and I've heard it time and time again. I mean, that's why 'Sl*t Walks' were started. It's to protest victim blaming but instead it usually just ends up with men taking videos and pictures of the women and joking around about how they're 'easy'.
Most rape is done by guys who are on a date, or who are drinking with a group of people they sort of know and finangle a girl from the group into agreeing to let him drive her home, or a neighbor, or a relative, or someone at a party...

Most rape is acquaintance rape.
This happened to me when I was 29, in between my first and second marriages. I said no. It was horrible and I ended up with cuts on my legs. The next week he found out where I worked, called me and asked me if I would go out with him and another girl. (use your imagination)..... this was a first date.

Reason: Typo
I'm sorry, Jrsy. It happens to many women, maybe most women at some point. You are not alone, and you were not singled out. There was nothing that you did that made him do that.

With my poor grammar, puncuation and spelling you would probably quit reading after the first page..besides,I would have to write it with crayons because I'm banned from sharp objects in my house
The way our legal system works, all is needed to convict a rapist, at times, is a woman's word.
I wonder if the problem is that, our penalties for rapists: jail time and the permanent label of sex offender, only deter people who practice some form of thought about the future. Even a smart, complete sociopath would know that the risks would be too high.
Maybe an additional penalty should be...cutting a toe off the person. That might be a more effective deterrent to the crowd without forethought.
Not really. Usually in rape cases they put the victim on trial. Her sexual history, clothing she wears, her activities and attitude the day in question. Only like 30% of rapes are ever reported. And about 20% of women have been sexually assaulted in some way or another.
What about the Brownsville case. In the end the media said " oh it is a shame those well mannered boys will have their lives ruined". Vs "wow that poor woman will need to deal with this for the rest of her life."
The average woman only needs 2 degrees of separation to find someone who has been raped.
Surefire signs that there won't be a next date:
When you slide into a really cool bar with a great band.....and you have to use the restroom......
Only to come back and notice the obvious flirtation with another guy.
Hey, kids. If you two would rather be alone, I'll excuse myself.
That gal was a piece of work.
Or when she has to use the restroom and then never comes back. You search all over the place, including the restaurant and you even stop and ask another woman to check inside the ladies room for you. Twenty minutes after she vanishes you finally find her outside in the alley, smoking with a guy she used to bang three or four years ago, very, very friendly like. Two friends that I later told the situation to both said that I should have walked out and left her right then and there, but softy me, stuck it out the rest of the evening. Oh yes, no aplogies or embarrassment on her part, she pulled the old "we're just old friends" routine. Yea, sure.
