Mostly what I notice in airports is how dumpy and poorly dressed most people are.

Maybe you're a yuppie and you just don't know it.

Ruth and JetJockey can see my picture. I'm sure they can attest that I'm not a yuppie. Maybe a little on the crunchy side of motherhood, but not a yuppie.

Is it some sort of psychological effect, or do my standards change, or what?
I think is that once your in a certain region for a certain amount of time one can get used to the scenary of people. A month ago I did some traveling, I did some Dixie hoping and I noticed that women of the South and the South West are more beautiful than women who are native to the North East region regardless of race. Eventhouogh the women in my neck of the woods are nice to look at especially since they have TNA but they don't have nice faces like the women of the South and South West. It now came to the point that I don't find women locally native to NYC, Boston and Philly not so physically attractive anymore. But that's my two cents.

Here in Boston I see more men that are put together, who wear clean clothes that are wrinkle free and look like they actually looked in a mirror before they left the house.

So, for me there is a difference.
Hmmm.... I like a wide range of looks. The face and not looking too grizzly. Long hair and a beard is fine when done right.

I'm talking like Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Just unkempt, hippie type guys. Some women are into that...they certainly never had a problem with getting girlfriends. It's just not for me.

Yeah, that can be part of the charm. Depending on whether he can pull it off. It's a hard look to pull off.
