Hard to imagine when it's almost 60 at 7am!
Sounds like hot cocoa weather though, huh?

Extended forecast: Today high of 8 degrees. Tonight, windy -13 degrees with a 'real feel' temperature of -42.

I don't live in Minneapolis - but might as well given this story:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — It's not the heat, it's the humidity, goes the old saying. For the tens of millions of Americans currently trapped in the deep freeze: It's not the cold, it's the wind.

Air temperatures plunging into the negative teens, twenties and even thirties Sunday into Monday are bad enough. But add wind speeds of even a few miles per hour, and what's already deeply unpleasant becomes downright dangerous.

Gone with the wind chill: Gusts spread winter pain

Awwe poor you...LOL.

My neighbor has a snow blower so he does my driveway when he does his. He did it 3 times yesterday and he's now on his third round today and started at 4 this morning with round one.

He's a great neighbor. He mows my front yard when he does his because he has a rider mower.

I guess. There isn't much standing water.

I think it's more that they don't want the kids at the bus stops. We don't get this kind of weather and a lot of children don't have appropriate cold-weather clothing (coats, hats, gloves).

Sure as hell didn't stop them when I was in school. One thing I've learned is it's damned if you do and damned if you don't when it comes to school delays/closings in this state. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it.

Yeah no kidding.
When they shut the schools they *****. Though a few years back when the kids were stuck at the schools because they didn't cancel...they bitched then too. Can't win.
