$150k/yr is what most chose... seriously? most people here are delusional... even though I live in Southern California and I know a ton of senior professionals working for Fortune 500 companies hardly anyone is making close to that...
Contrary to popular belief a $150k income is still not very common... anyone who tells you otherwise clearly is pulling facts out of their behind!
At my age, a guy has to make enough / have enough benefits to not make my retirement enough to cover two. I've worked hard for what I have (have done) and would like to (have) combine that with someone who has done the same.
Ideally if two people come together it should result in a better quality of living, if there is an income discrepancy there is the potential for problems. Honestly, I would have taken a step back if being with someone lowered my quality of living.
But people will tell you that you're being selfish and superficial by looking at relationships only in terms of money... a potential partner may not have much money but stilk be responsible financially...

No, less than a third chose that much, and at least one guy admitted to stuffing the ballot box. As an earlier post said, any chance to paint women as golddiggers is eagerly snatched up by some of these guys.

I never said I only look at relationships in terms of money, you need attraction, common outlook on life, similar goals, activities you like to do, religion....... the list goes on and on.
On the other subject, it's MY life, I don't care what others say and think (besides good friends/family who have my best interest at heart and know me).

what I have noticed in life is that there are way too many hypocrites! They preach to others that looks ain't that important, money isnt important, weight isnt important blah blah.... but when it comes to their life and their choice they have a laundry list of requirements and mostly I see people paying a lot of importance on money and looks...
people just want to say the politically correct thing.. women find a man with resources to be a huge draw and men find a beautiful hot woman a huge draw.... always been like that and always will be like that!!!
For women looking for men who make 150k plus, take a plane ticket and head to NYC, San Francisco, maybe Boston and other high income earning cities including Seattle. Those guys who make 150k get plenty of women and wont remain commited to one woman either.
You know it humors me to no end how the majority of the women on here are picking $150,000 plus. They are so clueless and so tuned out to the real by the likes of reality TV and what not. These American women will criticize, demand and spell out all their wishful demands and tell American men they are pigs for setting their sights on foreign women. LMAO, well, if you set a demand of $150,000 as a minimal requirement, how can you dare judge a man who goes and finds a European Super Model grade of a wife, who's only demand is he work, take care of her and take her home.
That just irks the over demanding lazy American women to death.
Men, get on a plane and go tour Europe and see what you're missing. Until these demanding American women can get their "stats' straight, don't waste your time. Even if you are a millionaire.

Oh and by the way, $150,000 a year is about $13K per month. Really ladies? Less then 000.5% of jobs pay that much.

Do you think the same of the men picking $150k is the expected salary they think women should make (in that thread: //www.city-data.com/forum/relat...-expect.html)? Just curious because the percentages in both threads (those who expect the opposite sex to make $150k) are about the same (29% here and 31% there). I still think people (in both threads) are playing around with the numbers because the comments don't seem to match the poll results.
