I took a course like that. Have never used those skills thankfully. Every accident I've been in, someone else was the dumbass running into me.
Just checking. Usually when I make that suggestion I get this > as they think it will make their kids drive reckless.

Well, first things first.
They don't have a car to drive anyway. There is no way on God's green earth they are driving mine, and my husband's is too small. I'm not buying them a car either...so it might be a long time before they are actually driving.

I can see this playing out like a sit com:
Oldest kid- "But mom if I have a car then I can take help with taking my brothers/ sisters on errands with sports and stuff."
You-

Hell to the no!

I would not put that responsibility on them and a bunch of young people in a car is a recipe for disaster.

Many sales either started already online or are extended past black Friday and Cyber Monday. So in a sense they kinda wiped out Black Friday and cyber monday.I do think its sad that many workers had to work today.

Somebody has to do it. Someone is on stand-by every holiday with my company. It sucks but it has to be done.

I know but I feel sorry that they can't be with their family.Seems greed overrules. My old job I had the option to work during holidays and get paid more, but that was when I was in my 20's.

I agree. I refuse to shop on Thanksgiving day. I might need to run to the store tomorrow (for home improvement crap) but I definitely won't be going early.

I can see doctors needing to be on-call and such..but those that are on-call should get paid big bucks to do it.

I always wonder what people who get assigned with holiday overnight shifts (or severe weather monitoring) at museums do to pass the time. It's possible somewhere in the Smithsonian there was a tiny group of Natural History curators having Thanksgiving dinner around the taxidermied animals today.

Gotta be spooky when no one's around.

Yeah I'm not going out until Saturday mainly to get ideas for my son. He's harder now that he is pre-teen.Doctor's do get paid a lot already but I must say I would never want to do their job.I saw a bone pop out when I was young and pretty much wanted to barf.lol!
