Another good one is when an obese person claims they are "big boned", to defend their overweight-ness.
Hate to break it to you but most humans bone size for each gender is not too different.

"You look like you should have laid off that 3rd piece of cake last night, but I love you". No...I'd say you probably develop a series of sneezes and then act like you never heard the question. If she asks again say "that's ridiculous".

It's always been a no win question in my experience. You're screwed!

How good of a liar are you?

What is wrong with being kind but honest? If someone has gained weight and they ask you about it, tell them you love them no matter what. But tell them the truth.

I have people who are near and dear who struggle with weight. If they need encouragement, you should provide it. If they can't seem to win, then that's how it is. You accept them.

But in general, letting yourself go is a terrible thing. It's a symptom of any number of issues. Younger people in particular need to prevent themselves from getting fat, because once you are, you have a good chance of getting fatter.

And people who don't give a damn? That tells you a lot about who they are already.

NO...you look great honey...

And then after a couple of hours:

You wanna join me for a walk in the park ?

See the couple that workout together stay together.

It is a no win situation. Just look at her with a smile and give her a hug I guess? She can interpret it any way that makes her feel good .
