Unfortunately, a lot of them do. There are women on OLD that are genuinely looking for someone, but it seems like they're far and few in between.

Even eHarmony/Match seems to have the same issues, and those are paid sites.

I would say the ratio of women using old for an ego boost is on par with the ratio of men using it to get laid. I closed all of my old profiles. The window shopping vibe is counter productive for finding substance, and I quite frankly don't care for it. At least you men that are average don't have to deal with women that won't give you a chance because you're not pretty enough, but still wouldn't mind sex because you're assumed to be an easy lay since you must be 'desperate for attention.'
